let's take a magic carpet ride 💫

What if someone came into your home right now and pulled your carpet up from under your feet?

What would you see?

What would lie beneath?

• Sometimes, the carpet that we’re so used to standing on has been keeping us nice and comfortable for far too long.

• Sometimes, the pattern of our carpet has become so familiar that it no longer matches our space and it’s time to switch it out for a newer one.

• Sometimes, we pick up our carpet to realize that there is a big pile of dirt under it that needs to be swept up.

• Sometimes, we pull up the carpet to reveal beautiful wooden floors that we had no clue existed but just need a little polishing.

Let’s imagine that the ‘carpet’ is the fabric of our thoughts, habits, and belief systems; it’s the cloth of our identities.

While it can be easy to get caught up in the same autopilot mental processes, we ultimately have the freedom to ‘redecorate, remodel, or remove’ in the direction that our spirit wants to expand.

We can choose to change our environment. We can adopt new mindsets and let go of old identifications that no longer align with us. We can be honest with ourselves, face our problems head-on, and know that we will be supported along the way. We can look deep within to realize that we have always been whole and complete, we just need to pour a little more love and time inward. We can simply choose differently whenever we want.

I often reflect on the quote “attachment is the root of all suffering.” Sometimes we are simply so attached to clutching onto our old dingy ass rug that we stop ourselves from receiving the beautiful tapestry that we actually desire. Now is the moment that we let go of denying the lives that we deeply long to live!

I know that this may go against the grain of what many of us have been taught, but you can release any identity or aspect of your personality that does not align with the higher version of yourself. And you can make this decision today if you decide to.

Why delay your journey when you can have a magic carpet ride, shapeshifting and transforming into whoever and whatever you want to be?

It’s time to fly, angels.
