There is something about getting older that pushes you to examine the many layers of your life. As my 30th birthday approaches, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how I decide where I want to be in life and who I want to surround myself with in my daily life. What sensation can I use as my own inner compass to guide me toward what is right for me when the world tends to be so noisy, distracting, and full of options? Every day we’re told what to think, how to feel, what to wear, who to be… It just honestly gives me decision fatigue sometimes. But ultimately, it’s up to us to decide what it is that sustains and nurtures us, not the world.
I have been practicing the art of trusting myself and what feels suitable for me in any given situation. It requires me to fully grasp the present and to pristinely pay attention to all of my senses. When I sit still and feel into the moment, the thing that moves me in life is ‘warmth’. Warm people, warm places, warm foods, warm fragrances, warm sounds. Warmth to me means that I am choosing to move closer to the light. And in a world that can often be so dim and dark, it’s up to us to not let the lights go out. Please keep glowing, your warm embers are guiding someone along the way. Stay golden.
Enjoy my latest playlist entitled “warmth’ and let it soothe you like a warm hug.
I hope that you have a beautiful week and that it’s filled with ease, persistence, and love.
Peace,
Taylor Simone
